My story is similar to many.

I have several brothers and sisters, some are divorced and others are not.

I was taught to take care of my parent by example. My parents took care of their parents. My grandmother would say that some day we will be in the same boat as they are. I believe that our parents took care of us when we could not take care of ourselves.

Now that they are in a position that they can not take of themselves, it is our job. They put up with a lot of our mess now it is time for us to do the same.
